What We Offer

• Dynamic Program

Our program is designed to spark curiosity and encourage a well-rounded educational experience. We cover a wide range of subjects, including math, literacy, science, art, and social studies. Through fun, interactive activities, children learn the building blocks of each subject while developing essential skills like critical thinking and problem-solving

• Small Group Instruction

We recognize that each child learns in their own unique way. Our educators provide small group instruction tailored to each child’s learning style, helping them thrive and reach their full potential. This approach allows for focused attention and individualized support, which makes learning more engaging and effective.

• Language Development

Language skills are at the core of everything we do. Through storytelling, discussions, and vocabulary-building exercises, children expand their communication skills. They are encouraged to express themselves, listen, and engage in meaningful conversations, laying the foundation for future literacy skills.

• Early Math Concepts

In our program, we introduce important math concepts such as number recognition, counting, shapes, and patterns through interactive play. These hands-on activities help children develop a solid understanding of math that they will build upon in later years.

• Creative Expression

Preschoolers love to express themselves through dramatic play, artistic activities, and sensory exploration. Whether it’s acting out a favorite story, creating a masterpiece with paint, or engaging with textures and materials, we provide opportunities for children to unleash their creativity and discover new ways to communicate their thoughts and ideas.

• Social Skills & Cooperation

Learning how to work with others is an important part of the preschool experience. We foster cooperation, sharing, and conflict resolution through group activities and interactions with peers. By practicing these social skills in a safe and nurturing environment, children grow into confident, compassionate individuals who understand the importance of teamwork.

• Technology in Learning

While technology is used thoughtfully, it plays an important role in our learning process. We incorporate educational tools and programs under careful guidance, helping children enhance their learning through interactive experiences that promote exploration and creativity.

• Preparing for Kindergarten

Our goal is to make the transition to kindergarten smooth and stress-free. Through activities that promote independence, confidence, and a positive attitude toward learning, we help children develop the skills they’ll need to succeed in kindergarten and beyond

Supporting Your Child’s Transition to Kindergarten

We understand that the transition to kindergarten is a big milestone for both children and parents. At Star Kids, we work closely with families to provide a smooth and confident transition to kindergarten programs, whether that’s at Star Kids- Percy Pegler, Star Kids-Heritage Heights or any school. By fostering independence, confidence, and a love for learning, we ensure that your child is ready and excited for the next chapter in their educational journey.

How Learning Happens at Star Kids

Learning at Star Kids is all about engagement, exploration, and expression. We provide a rich, stimulating environment where children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and interact with the world around them. Our educators actively support engagement by offering activities that challenge preschoolers to think critically, solve problems, and creatively express themselves.

Supporting Preschoolers

At Star Kids, we support preschoolers in all aspects of their development:

• Washroom Routines

We provide a structured and positive approach to washroom routines, supporting children as they develop independence and self-care skills. Our educators are there to guide and encourage, making sure each child feels comfortable with these growing milestones.

• Circle Time Activities

We incorporate circle time into our daily routine, which is a valuable part of fostering group cohesion and learning. During circle time, children engage in literacy activities, sing songs, explore science concepts, and practice listening and communication skills. It’s a time to bond as a group, share ideas, and deepen learning.

• Outdoor Exploration

: We believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Our outdoor spaces offer endless opportunities for preschoolers to engage with nature, explore new environments, and develop their gross motor skills through active play. Whether it’s a nature walk, a game of tag, or simply enjoying the fresh air, outdoor play helps foster a sense of wonder and discovery.

• Open Communication with Parents

We believe in maintaining an open line of communication with parents. We regularly update parents on their child's development and milestones, sharing insights into their day-to-day experiences and progress. Parents are always welcome to ask questions, and we work together to support each child's growth.
